MURANO GLASS: The Incandescent Heart
We do not accept compromises for our creations: we use only authentic Murano Glass, the most noble and ancient material of the Venetian tradition. Each sculpture is born from sodium-calcium glass wands produced in the historic Muranese furnaces, chosen for their purity and for their ability to react to light with a unique brilliance in the world.
Choosing Murano Glass means marrying a thousand-year-old history that we reinterpret through our quick freehand modelling technique. In those fateful 60-120 seconds of glowing processing, the quality of Venetian glass allows our artistic signature to impress living organic forms, guaranteeing a work that is, at the same time, a contemporary innovation and a fragment of pure Italian craftsmanship history.
FUSION: Material Experimentation
Fusion is our field of molecular research. Here we test the compatibility between glass and noble metals such as gold, copper and steel. We are not satisfied with pure colour; we look for chemical reactions, oxidations and metal inclusions that give depth to the sculpture. Every 'error' at this stage is a lesson: we study internal tensions and expansion coefficients to ensure that the union between such different elements is not only aesthetically sublime, but eternal.
3D PRINTING: The Architecture of the Future
Innovation comes into play with 3D printing and digital prototyping. We use additive technologies to design complex structures, supports or components that integrate glass parts. This phase allows us to dare geometries impossible for traditional craftsmanship, creating a dialogue between the millimetre perfection of the software and the vital irregularity of hand-plasmed glass. It is the meeting point between the craftsman and the engineer.
ASSEMBLY: The Final Harmony
Assembly is the final act, where the individual components of glass, metals and engineered parts merge into a single entity. Each interlock is hand-finished with maniacal care, ensuring that the structural integrity is perfect. For our light works, this phase includes the integration of excellent electrical components, transforming the sculpture into a functional object capable of inhabiting the space with its light and its history.
